Hand crafted in house this luxury quilted velvet throw is finished with a contrasting velvet backing. 

A Lapgan is smaller than a throw and is designed to go over your lap with out trailing on the floor, ideal to use on a cool night sat outside in the garden, or to wrap up in the living room on a cold winter night. They are also great to use with wheel chairs to keep you nice and snug.

Luxury Quilted Velvet Throw: Care & Maintenance Guide

A luxury quilted velvet throw brings rich texture, warmth, and an effortless touch of elegance to your home decor. Because fine velvet features a dense, raised pile and intricate quilted stitching, caring for it correctly ensures it retains its lush feel, deep color, and plush structure for years to come.

• Professional Dry Clean Only: Always have your quilted velvet throw professionally dry cleaned. The combination of dense velvet pile, inner quilting wadding, and lining requires specialized solvents to lift dirt without shrinking the filling or flattening the fabric's nap.
• Inform Your Cleaner: When dropping off your throw, let the cleaner know the fabric is quilted velvet so they can apply a delicate cycle with low heat and minimal mechanical agitation.
• Do Not Machine Wash or Hand Wash: Water can ruin the texture of velvet, cause the pile to crush, and warp or bunch the internal quilted padding.
• Gentle Brushing: To restore the natural sheen and lift the pile, brush the velvet lightly in the direction of the nap using a soft-bristled clothes brush or a velvet care brush.
• Dust & Lint Removal: Use a velvet brush or a lint roller gently over the surface. Avoid pulling or dragging forcefully across quilted seams to protect the stitching.
• Immediate Spill Handling:

1. If a spill occurs, act quickly.
2. Gently blot the liquid using a clean, dry white cloth or paper towel.
3. Never rub or scrub, as pressing wet velvet flattens the pile permanently and pushes the liquid into the inner quilting.
4. Allow the area to air dry completely, then take the throw to a professional dry cleaner if a mark remains.
